These glazes are a series of related, clean clear colors which fit our #103, #104, #105 and #417 clays as well as most other low fire bodies. They may be altered by adding 8% to 10% Superpax for an opaque look. Apply by dipping, pouring, spraying or brushing. All glazes are in dry form. To liquify the NL colors, mix approximately 1 pint of water with 1 pound of dry glaze. For the NLM colors, mix approximately 12 oz. water with 1 pound of glaze. Adjust according to application method used. Safe for functional ceramics. |

OR 16 OUNCES - 1 CUP = 8 OUNCES
LIQUIFIED GLAZES SHOULD BE PASSED THROUGH A
60 OR 80 MESH SIEVE.
APPLICATION
IF DIPPING: IMMERSE FOR 2
SECONDS, LET DRY FOR 5 MINUTES, THEN REPEAT IF DESIRED.
IF POURING: AN UNINTERRUPTED FLOW IS CRUCIAL FOR GOOD COLOR RESULTS. AVOID
OVERLAPS.
IF BRUSHING: APPLY 2 COATS, LETTING FIRST COAT DRY BEFORE APPLYING SECOND. A
THIRD COAT MAY BE NECESSARY.
IF SPRAYING: THIN GLAZE BY ADDING AT LEAST 10% MORE WATER. LET DRY BETWEEN
COATS.
IF GLAZES ARE SETTLING OUT WHILE STORED YOU CAN ADD GLAZE SUSPENDER AS
DIRECTED BELOW, OR ADD 2% BENTONITE, SIEVE THOROUGH A 60 OR 80 MESH SIEVE.
USING SUSPENDERS
Suspender #1457: Take 2 Tablespoons or 14 grams of suspender and add to 1
pint of hot water. Mix or shake in covered jar and let stand overnight until
completely dissolved. Glaze can be adjusted by adding 1/8 cup or 1 ounce of
liquid suspender to 1 pint of liquid glaze.
Suspender #1026: Add 1/4 teaspoon or 1 gram of dry suspender to 1 pound of
dry glaze. Mix thoroughly, then add water. Mix and screen through 60 or 80
mesh sieve.
